

LINDA CARTER LEFKO'S areas of expertise concentrates on the folk art that was created during the first half of the nineteenth century. She does commissioned replications of - graining, watercolors, interior painted wood pieces such as boxes, over mantels and fireboards, portraits on panel, and New England style wall murals and minor restoration of painted and gilded surfaces. She does lecture presentations on Mementos & Memorials, Theorem Painting, School Girl Arts, False Graining and New England Wall Murals. Linda has completed work on the new publication Folk Art Murals of the Rufus Porter School: New England Landscapes 1825-1845 and is currently working on research for another publication pertaining to the Avery School of wall murals in New Hampshire, serves as a museum Advisor to the Rufus Porter Museum www.rufusportermuseum.org and paints commission work for clients all over the country. She has written several articles on a variety of topics for national magazines, many of which are available here to download.
